Through a friend from Wiesbaden, myself from Northern Germany, came here. Very friendly and helpful (North Germans don't know Ebbelwei and its differences) service, the food is very good and the old walls do the rest to make you feel good. So I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Wiesbaden.

Very friendly staff, the Locatiob is central and offers a lot of space outside in front of the Hessian state parliament or inside in a traditional, rustic restaurant. The choice on the menu is quite large, so there's something for everyone, but the rump steak on the hot stone is definitely my favorite!

Right in the center of Wiesbaden sitting outside under the shade of big umbrellas or in the quaint interior this restaurant is a must for lovers of good fare.. I had the onion rings as a starter which where fresh onions and not a paste as is commonly known...they were cooked in a lovely light batter..this was followed by a very good steak although the side orders were a bit on the skimpy side... I wanted a desert but unfortunately they are not strong on desserts! Value for money was reasonable the service on our evening was attentive and helpful ...wheelchair access is available outside.

Good restaurant, schnitzel was big and tasty. Prices are quite high. There were ten of them, all orders were correct, only one steak was too raw; but was fried without complaining. Service was great.

A must for lovers of schnitzel. We were there for the first time today and we will be back to try the steaks too. Great atmosphere and right now in the Corona time more than enough distance, the employees all wear mouth and nose protection and you feel safe every second. The unbelievable kindness and prudence is not a bit pushy but professional down to the last detail. Before the meal came a greeting from the kitchen with home-made cream cheese and walnut bread - incredibly good. The schnitzel itself was tender and the taste was fantastic. The fried potatoes were obviously home-made, had (for us) exactly the right tan and the bacon was very spicy. The homemade iced tea was also convincing in all respects. Hats off and keep it up. We'll be back ❤️

Went to Wiesbaden for the first time with friends and happened upon the restaurant in the old town. Great ambience, nice large terrace and above all excellent food. Waiters are on the ball and the asparagus, as well as the meat were hit ideally :-) Highly recommended! Would love to come back!

The ambience is incredibly beautiful and quaint. Always super friendly service - no matter what time. Food always perfectly to the point. There is really nothing to complain about here. We love to come back again and again. Keep it up!

Delicious food and excellent service in an old world feeling venue. I recommend the hot stone rib eye with fried potatoes paired with Chilean red wine.

We ate rump steak and salad with strips of beef fillet. I didn't like both of them. The rump steak of 180 grams with a side dish and sauce is € 19.50, the side salad costs € 5.40 extra. The steak was small, but tasted good, as was the sauce. The salad with strips of fillet of beef did not match the name, they were rather pieces of beef fillet and not strips. This dish cost € 15.90. Was a lot of salad and little meat. Maybe the schnitzel is better. The toilets could do with a modernization.

Excellent place. The staff speaks great English. They have perfect lighting and an old German atmosphere. The architecture is great. Their staircase which is suspended by chain is great. The food is mainly meat-centric. They have candles (real candles) and a fire going in the evenings. Their meat platter was good and their lobster and crab soup was excellent.

Great food, beer & srvice

Excellent German Food. Delicious salads. There were 4 of us in our group and we each got something different. Everything was delicious. The lobster bisque was good. I had pork medallions over apples which was excellent. Others had lamb, turkey schnitzel coco, pork schnitzel with eggs. The fry potatoes looked really good. Highly recommend. The interior feels very authentic to the Viking Era too, so the ambience was very unique.

I have been coming to this restaurant for 5 years. It is excellent in both food quality and service.

Lamb was awesome. Steak was good in 80%. It was not properly cut, which is super sad for that meat quality and the skill to make it properly medium rare. It had uncut tendons :(

It's one of the best dining experiences in the area. Quality of food, hospitality and atmosphere indoors and outdoors always unforgettable.

Super nice staff, excellent quality, nice atmosphere! Mmhh very good selection, as a real steakhouse the fish and alternative dishes are also delicious. Homemade walnut bread is served with it. Of course there are different 🍺 and 🍷 types. Seltzer water in glass bottles is also a clean solution here. We'll definitely be back. We recommend. Next time we'll try the 🥩 steak.
